Give your dog a fun way to cool off this summer with our new Doggy Swimming Pool at Rags & Bert's Farnborough.
The pool provides a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs to swim, play, and exercise during the warmer months. It is a self-service facility that can be booked in 30-minute sessions, allowing owners to spend quality time with their dog, whether that means watching them swim or joining them in the pool.

By booking a swim session with Rags & Bert's, you are reserving exclusive use of the pool facility for recreational swimming with your dog(s). Sessions are designed for enjoyment and exercise and are not hydrotherapy appointments.
Please note that no lifeguard or canine hydrotherapist will be present during your session. Owners are responsible for supervising both themselves and their dogs at all times.
Dogs aged four months and over are welcome to attend, provided they are up to date with their vaccinations and are in good health.
If your dog has any existing medical condition, injury, skin complaint, sickness, vomiting, diarrhoea, or any other health concern, you must seek veterinary advice before booking. Rags & Bert's reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog that appears unwell or whose condition may compromise the safety or welfare of others.
Pet insurance is strongly recommended.
All dogs remain the sole responsibility of their owner throughout their visit.
Dogs must remain on lead while moving around the facility unless they are within the designated splash area or swimming pool.
Owners enter and use the pool entirely at their own risk. Access to the pool for owners is via the ladder, and users should ensure they are physically capable of entering and exiting safely.
Children aged 13 years and above may participate in swim sessions provided they:
Are confident swimmers.
Can comfortably stand in water approximately 1.1 metres deep.
Remain under the supervision of a responsible adult who is present in the water.
Where larger breeds are participating, owners may be asked to alternate use of the splash deck and ramp area to avoid overcrowding and maintain safe access to the pool.
To help ensure your dog's comfort and wellbeing:
Avoid feeding your dog within two hours of the session.
Allow your dog the opportunity to toilet before entering the facility.
Arrive approximately 10 minutes before your booking to allow time for exercise and settling in.
Dogs should arrive clean and free from excessive mud or debris.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up any fouling that occurs on site and should notify a member of staff immediately if assistance is required.
In the rare event that a dog urinates, defecates, or vomits in the pool, the facility may need to close temporarily for cleaning and water treatment. Where this results in additional costs or cancelled appointments, Rags & Bert's reserves the right to recover reasonable cleaning and business interruption costs from the owner responsible.
Should the pool need to close unexpectedly, affected customers will be contacted as soon as possible to rearrange their booking.
The swimming environment can become wet and slippery. Visitors should wear suitable footwear with good grip and take care when moving around the premises.
Some surfaces may be uneven, and all visitors are expected to exercise appropriate caution during their visit.
Owners should encourage their dogs to take regular breaks on the splash deck and avoid continuous swimming for extended periods.
If a dog appears tired or is repeatedly swallowing water, they should be removed from the pool and allowed time to rest.
Although uncommon, water intoxication can occur when a dog ingests excessive amounts of water during swimming or play.
Potential signs include:
Loss of coordination
Lethargy
Vomiting
Excessive drooling
Dilated pupils
Smaller dogs may be at greater risk due to their body size. Owners are encouraged to monitor their dogs closely and provide regular rest periods throughout the session.
If you have any concerns regarding your dog's condition during or after swimming, seek veterinary advice immediately.
Photographs and video recordings may occasionally be taken on the premises for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.
By attending the facility, you consent to the use of such images unless you notify Rags & Berts in advance that you do not wish to be included.
Rags & Bert's accepts no responsibility for:
Injury to people or dogs arising from the use of the facility.
Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
Damage to vehicles or items left within vehicles.
Visitors use the premises entirely at their own risk.
Nothing within these terms seeks to exclude liability where exclusion would be unlawful.
Bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.
Requests to reschedule within 24 hours of the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation.
Customers arriving late will still be required to finish at their scheduled end time to avoid impacting subsequent bookings. Full session fees remain payable.
If a customer misses a session for reasons outside the control of Rags & Berts, including travel delays or unforeseen circumstances, the booking fee remains non-refundable.
All visitors are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, customers, and other dogs.
Rags & Bert's operates a zero-tolerance policy towards abusive, threatening, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour. Any individual displaying such conduct may be asked to leave immediately and may be refused future bookings.
Rags & Berts reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate a session where it believes doing so is necessary for safety, welfare, or operational reasons.
By making a booking and attending a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
